Booking conditions

These conditions apply to the private boat trips with skipper that you book on nauticcharter.com, by phone or by WhatsApp with Gabriel Orfila Pons (Nautic Charter Menorca), Tax ID 41505904N. By confirming your booking, you accept them and declare that you are of legal age.

1. The service

  • It is a private trip: the boat is only for your group and always comes with a qualified professional skipper, from our team or a collaborator, so you do not need a boating licence.
  • Maximum capacity: Karnic SL601, 5 people and Beneteau Flyer 7, 7 people, children included. For safety reasons it cannot be exceeded.
  • Trips of 4, 6 or 8 hours from the Port of Mahón, and of 6 or 8 hours from Es Canutells for the Ciutadella beaches route.
  • Included: skipper, mineral water and ice, paddle surf, snorkelling gear, VAT, and third-party liability and passenger insurance. On the Flyer 7, the electric underwater scooter and drone photos are also included.
  • The included extras (paddle surf, snorkelling gear, underwater scooter or drone) depend on being in good condition and on the weather allowing their use. If any of them cannot be used because of a breakdown or for safety reasons, the price of the trip does not change.

2. Price and payment

  • The price is per boat, not per person, and includes VAT.
  • To confirm the booking you pay a 20 % deposit online by card, through the secure Redsys payment gateway. The rest is paid on board on the day of the trip, in cash, by card or by Bizum.
  • Fuel is not included. It is paid at the end, according to consumption. As a guide, on the Karnic SL601 it is usually around €90 for 4 hours, €120 for 6 and €150 for 8, and on the Flyer 7 around €110, €140 and €170.
  • The Ciutadella beaches route has a €60 operating cost supplement, for the extra hour of sailing to Es Canutells.
  • If, by mistake, the published price is not correct, we will let you know before charging anything and you can cancel at no cost.
  • The booking confirmation email is not an invoice. If you need one, ask for it at info@nauticcharter.com.

3. Cancellation by you

  • You can cancel free of charge up to 48 hours before the trip. We refund the full deposit.
  • If you cancel less than 48 hours before, or do not show up, the deposit is not refunded.
  • To cancel or change the date, write to us by WhatsApp at +34 692 031 692 or at info@nauticcharter.com. The 48 hours are counted from when we receive your message, and we will reply confirming the cancellation.

As this is a leisure service on a specific date, the 14-day right of withdrawal for distance purchases does not apply (article 103.l of the Spanish General Law for the Protection of Consumers and Users). That is why we offer free cancellation up to 48 hours before.

4. Cancellation by us: bad weather, breakdown or other causes

  • The skipper decides whether it is possible to go out depending on the wind and the sea. Safety always comes first.
  • If the sea does not allow the booked route, we first try to move to a more sheltered area, if you agree. If that is not possible, we offer you another date. If we cannot find one that suits you, we refund 100 %.
  • The same applies if we have to cancel for another reason on our side, such as a boat breakdown, the skipper's illness or a booking system error that results in two bookings on the same day: we offer you another date or refund 100 % of what you paid.
  • In the unusual case that a trip already under way has to be shortened because of the weather or for safety reasons, we refund the proportional part of the time not sailed.
  • The exact route is decided on the day according to the wind and the sea, to go to the most sheltered coves.

5. On the day of the trip

  • Arrive at the meeting point 10 minutes early. If you arrive late, the trip will end at the scheduled time.
  • Always follow the skipper's instructions; the skipper is responsible for the boat and for safety on board.
  • Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult, who looks after them during the trip.
  • You can eat and drink on board in moderation. The skipper may end the trip if someone puts safety at risk or does not respect the rules.
  • Small, calm pets are welcome. Let us know when booking; the owner is responsible for the pet on board.

6. Liability

The boat has the compulsory third-party liability and passenger insurance. We are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings on board or for damage caused by not following the skipper's instructions. If the boat or equipment is damaged intentionally or through negligence, the customer is responsible for its repair.

7. Photos and videos

We send you the photos and videos of the trip as part of the service. We will only publish them on our website or social media if you give us permission, as explained in our privacy policy.

8. Complaints and applicable law

If something has not gone well, write to us at info@nauticcharter.com and we will try to solve it. Official complaint forms are available on request. These conditions are governed by Spanish law and, if you are a consumer, the courts of your place of residence have jurisdiction.

This is a translation for information purposes. In case of doubt, the Spanish version prevails.
